Good Value  
I was pleased with the sound from these speakers. I only give 4 stars because the screen is flimsy and the plactic prongs break easy. JBL is not very customer friendly but the price is right. I bought 2 of these for $510. Suggest you look around online. : 2010-09-15 06:36:33

Phenomenal Speakers for this price piont...  
The clarity and definition of the sound from these speakers is favorable over most anything at this price piont. You may even be able to find these for a little less if you search around online. The build and construction is top notch and each speakers comes in at around 50lbs. I do suggest that you purchase a separate sub in order to get that room shaking base youd want in a quality home theater. The base is adequate for basic easy listening but doesnt catch the awe-inspiring "thump" that youd want in some of your favorite action movie soundtracks. But pair these up with an effective sub and youre in for pure audio enjoyment. If youre looking to eliminate the sub option you might want to look at getting the S412 with a 200-watt powered woofer section. : 2010-09-15 06:36:33

Great speakers at an incredible value!  
These are by far the best speakers for the money. I paid $450 for the pair delivered and they sound incredible. I have the all JBL Studio series speakers running through an Onkyo 701 home theater receiver -- what a combinaton. They sound great for both movies and music! AWESOME SPEAKERS  
Well......for those who have these speakers you know how good they sound right????

let me tell you that i had the oportunity to open the spekers and to my Surprice i saw crappy components in the crossover net works.

I just can not understand how come crappy components can make this brute to sound so good???

anyway...i found a video of someone who is going to upgrade the crossover with better components...
